Description

Our client is a digital technology company operating within the IoT and Big Data space using deep insights to drive innovation and build products/solutions, and bring them to market. Essentially a startup environment, the team is an eclectic mix of experts coming from different backgrounds.

They are developing a powerful platform for the development of IoT products and services. It focuses on open source technology and is particularly useful for developing products in the B2D sector (business to developers). Within this context, they are currently building their own IoT products & services and are launching several new digital ventures.

In short, your responsibilities will include:

  • Guide the team on how to use scrum & agile practices and methodologies (backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, task definition as well as the ceremonies and their impact).
  • Oversee scrum process and coach the team; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation and leading daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement.
  • Support Product Owner on release planning and remove impediments (e.g. cultural barriers, logistic challenges) and foster close cooperation across all team members.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team while shielding the team from external interference and ensure the team is fully functional and productive.
  • Foster self-organization and growth within the team.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment.

The key skills we are looking for:

  • 5 years of working experience as Program Manager, Head of Agile Delivery or similar, and have led organizational Agile transformations and/or have developed Agile systems in a Start-up environment.
  • Experienced in assessing, evaluating, and questioning team member activities and processes in all functional areas and able to make sound decisions based on evidence.
  • Familiar with product design and the importance of customer feedback.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • An understanding of the microservices engineering architecture, with an interest and curiosity to learn more.
  • Emotional self-awareness, positive outlook, emotional self-control, adaptability and empathy.
  • Experienced in/with Atlassian’s tools (Jira, Confluence).
